Dr. Carl graduated from Georgetown University School of Dentistry in 1983. Upon graduation he practiced in Burke, Virginia for a year before moving to Fairfax, where he has continued his practice. Dr. Carl also taught at Georgetown University School of Dentistry from 1983 until it's closure in 1990.

  He is a member of the American Dental Association, Virginia State Dental Association,  Northern Virginia Dental Association, and the International Association for Orthodontics . Dr. Carl and his staff have attended numerous classes through the Northern Virginia Dental Society and other accredited institutions.
